Der 77MB große Download ist ab sofort verfügbar. Der erste Nachgeschmack kommt allerdings schon recht schnell, noch bevor man überhaupt in Home drinnen ist. 3077MB von eurem kostbaren Festplattenspeicher müsst ihr der Software zur Verfügung stellen.

Da ich ja sehr gespannt war, habe ich dieses widerwillig getan. Allerdings muss man auch bedenken, dass es sich vorerst nur um eine Beta Version handelt. Dies erklärt wohl auch warum es mehrere Versuche benötigt, um sich erfolgreich anzumelden oder teilweise auch nicht.

Sony hat hierzu bereits im offiziellen PlayStation-Blog um Geduld gebeten. Im Original lautet dies so

„We are aware that some people may be experiencing difficulty in accessing the PlayStation Home beta at present. This is due to overwhelming demand for the service as people access Home for the very first time since it became Open Beta and appeared on the XMB. While we prepare solutions to ease the problem, you may continue to experience difficulties accessing Home. We kindly ask for your patience as we work to meet the incredible demand for this revolutionary service.“

Die Anlaufschwierigkeiten führt Sony demnach auf den großen Ansturm zurück. Sobald die Probleme behoben sind folgt selbstverständlich auch ein vollständiger Testbericht!
